Bedbugs

As the bedbug case counts are almost doubling, we have decided to dedicate a page to these resilient bloodsuckers.  Lets start with some basic facts about bedbugs.

  • Bedbugs feed on the blood of humans or other warmblooded creatures.
  • Bedbugs home in on warmth and carbon dioxyde.
  • Bedbugs can live more than a year withought feeding.
  • Bedbugs emerge from hiding at night, and are most active at dawn.
  • As a general rule of thumb, bedbugs can hide anyplace where you can fit a credit card.
  • Bedbugs and their eggs are visible to the naked eye.
  • Bedbug females can lay up to 5 eggs a day which hatch within 10 days.
